I have to go for micro-teaching in UPM again. This time, I travelled with my coursemate. Since we don't have our own transport, we decided to stay in Sun Inn Hotel Serdang which is very convenient. There is a KTM station within walking distance to this hotel.

The room is small as usual for budget hotel. We spent RM90 for a standard room with two beds and with window. The room and toilet are not that modern and pretty compare to Mangga Hotel.  The provided towels were pretty old. I can only use "grey" to describe them. My coursemate and I didn't even want to used it. Luckily we bought our own towels.

The room is not so clean. When we checked in at the counter, we met three customers complaining about no housekeeping.

Nearby to this hotel, we can find different variety of restaurants and a 7 eleven shop.

If you want a good sleep, I don't think this hotel is suitable for you. There are a lots of car passing by this hotel until late night. I prefer Mangga Hotel.

But, if you don't have your own transport, I think this is the only hotel that suite you. The location of this hotel is great.

One more thing, the receptionist took more than 10 minutes to get us a key and room number. This cause me beaten by mosquitosss..........

Last Friday and Saturday, I went to Serdang again for my UPM F2F and monologue presentation. I have decided to stay at mangga hotel again. But, this time, I have terrible experience. I saw three small cockroaches coming out under the bed. Oh! Gosh! Really disgusting. Luckily, my husband killed the cockroaches or else I won't be able to have a good sleep.

I had stay here for 1 night. It's 10-15mins drive to UPM. That's why I had chosen this hotel. Another reason is this hotel provide 24 hours security guard for your car. The car parking is free. Well, the room is clean, new with flat screen tv, but it is really small and no window as you can see from the picture above. When I opened the door, the bed is just 2-3 steps to the door. Anyway, it is a budgets hotel, I still satisfied with it --->RM89 for queen bed. Twin single bed will be cheaper. Ohya, it also have a small lift which make me feel very happy since I no need to carry my luggage all the way using staircase.

Finally, there is a mall name Keningau Mall in Keningau.
Although it is not as big as the mall in Kota Kinabalu, I still enjoy shopping in it.
This Guang Ji Si Temple is situated on a high hill in Keningau.
On this hill we can view the Keningau scene.
This was the first time I went there.

How can we get there?

Turn left at the last traffic light to Tenom.
Go straight.... If you see the signboards as below, you are in the right track.

Then, you will see this metal bridge. Go across it.

You will see the following signboard at your left.

Turn left then go straight untill you see the next signboard as below.

Kunang-kunang river cruise is situated near to Beaufort town and about two hours drive from Kota Kinabalu city. Klias Wetland is the biggest peat swamp forest of Sabah. As Klias is the habitat of wildlife such as proboscis (long-nosed) monkey, silver-leaf monkey and firefly.

This Deluxe Kunang-kunang River Cruise is only offer by Oib tourism which mean "Only in Borneo". It is a 80 feet wooden fishing boat. This boat has a capacity of 40 people, Where our group were only nine people make us feel very comfortable.

Oib has its own base camp. So, we just need a short distance walk to reach the Kunang-kunang River Cruise. There are many toilets at their base camp. The toilets are very clean with hand sanitizers and toilet paper inside.

Upon, arriving on the boat, we were served with sweet fried potatoes, fried banana and tea/coffee. We were very lucky to see three proboscis monkey on top of the tree even though the boat not yet start its engine. The proboscis monkeys were pretty shy. When they saw us keep on pointing towards them, they will turn around to hide their face, some will avoid us to see them.

We also managed to see the silver leaf monkey. These silver leaf monkeys were very active, they don't feel any different when our boat tried to approached near to them. They will continued what ever activities they are doing, like eating leaves or swinging.

After finished discover those proboscis monkey, our board stop at the river bank for us to fishing. There were two tourists managed to catch a cat-fish. For me, I was unlucky. But, I enjoy fishing there.

Beautiful sunset taken on the upper deck.

We serve on board with lamp chop, fried chicken, fried rice, salad, vegetables, fruits and drink for dinner.

After enjoying our dinner, the boat captain will switch off the lights on boat. We saw many firefly  flying around the tree. It was really like a Christmas tree.

This Kunang-kunang River Cruise trip cost us RM168 per pax. We were told that if you drive on your own to the base camp you will only be charge RM100 per pax. But, I won't recommend you to drive there because there was no parking unless you park at the road side only.

Before I went to Klias Wetland at Beaufort, I went to buy mosquito repellent. There are many types of mosquito repellent at the pharmacy. I did not know which to choose. Finally, I made my mind to buy the anti mosquito  patches. I used two patches, one on my shirt and another on my pants. It contains Citronella oil, which repels the mosquitoes. It is good for those who have allergy skin. However, I still got one bite on my arm. Maybe I should stick more patches. For me, I still prefer the mosquito repellent lotion because I never got any bite when I used it.
